The impressive Carreg Cennen Castle pictured above is just 3 miles from the Mill. The castle is recommended viewing for guests at the Mill. A steep 400 yard walk is well worth the effort to appreciate the formidable defences and spectacular position of the castle.
The fortress changed hands between the Welsh and English over centuries until finally being partially dismantled to end its use as a stronghold.
